Disposable Cameras

On your wedding day why
not include disposable cameras for your guests
to use. It's usually best to include at least one
camera per table with perhaps a few additional
cameras for those snap-happy friends. While a professional
photographer is a must, these disposable cameras
will give your family and friends a chance to ham
it up for each other and give you shots the professional
won't have.
Being disposable cameras, nobody needs to worry
if one is accidentally dropped. Children can
feel free to join in the fun as well. Extra cameras
won't be wasted as the bride and groom can take
them along on their honeymoon. To promote the
use of the cameras, include tent cards on the
tables encouraging your guests to take part and
have someone announce the use of the cameras
at the beginning of the reception.

Make sure the cameras
you purchase come with a built-in flash since
most of these photos will be taken indoors during
the reception. Disposable cameras offer 27 exposures
per unit and come in film speeds of 400 or 800
ISO. The 800 ISO models are great for very low
light conditions, however, the trade-off is photos
with much larger grain. For most conditions,
400 ISO is probably your best choice. When shooting
indoors with flash, try to be near a wall in
order to catch some of the light which will brighten
the background of the photograph.
To collect all the cameras, have a decorated
container that guests can place the cameras
in when they're finished and have someone be
responsible for getting them processed right
away so that the photos can be there when the
happy couple returns from their honeymoon.
